Sponsorship Of Local Cancer Care Trust Charity Event
As part or our commitment to local causes Secure Power was one of the main sponsors for a local charity event. The event was a golf day at The Phoenix Golf Club in Rotherham.
The day was organised on behalf of Rotherham Cancer Care Trust, a local charity aimed at helping the people of South Yorkshire deal with the illness. The day was supported by a number of local businesses and volunteers. Rotherham Cancer Care Trust provides free care and support to Rotherham people who have had a diagnosis of cancer. They aim to support the people who go to their Centre by providing services that complement the specialised care they receive from the NHS.
The charity is aided by donations, so fundraisers similar to this are great for the charity. The golf day had 18 teams who were made up of local businessmen/businesswomen and volunteers. Secure Power entered a team, with each consisting of 4 players. The players on the Secure Power team were made up of 2 Secure Power staff members and 2 business associates. The players consisted of Nick Morley and Richard Curran from the Secure Power staff, and two clients Alex Back from Split the Bills and Adam Tierney from Tierney Solicitors. The tournament took place throughout the day with teams teeing off at different times.
When the results were announced Secure Power came second overall. The event was a golf day at The Phoenix Golf Club in Rotherham. The day was organised on behalf of Rotherham Cancer Care Trust, a local charity aimed at helping the people of South Yorkshire deal with the illness. The day was supported by a number of local businesses and volunteers. The event raised thousands for the charity and there are now plans to make it an annual event. Secure Power is pleased that the event was a success, and they believe they will sponsor more events like this in the future.
Secure Power’s recent success has allowed them to expand, and they decided it was a great opportunity to use this success to help others. Nick Morley the Sales Manager at Secure Power, was one of the players in the Secure Power team at the event. It was a great day and a pleasure to be involved in a charity day, which raised so much money for a good cause. It is great that our business is getting involved in charity sponsorship and it is something I feel we will expand as the company grows.
